After deciding to stay elsewhere, I asked the front desk if it was possible to receive a refund and he was very nice and said he would do all he could on his end, but suggested I call Marriott as well (because I mistakenly booked under a non-refundable rate, which I don’t normally do and will never do again because of THIS hotel). The online photos were very deceiving, to say the least. The room had paint peeling off the walls, a massive break/crack in the desk that was glued back together with silicon, somehow the carpet was sticky (yep, the carpet was sticky) and the bed was rock hard with thin linens.
